First Day of Mother's Day Out

Its always amazing to me that on the first day of school the kids are so ready and anxious to go to school, and they get up way earlier than regular and can't sleep the night before, but a few days or weeks afterward you about have to start jumping up and down on their bed before they even think about waking up.

Zach and Dalton were actually up and ready to go this morning before my alarm clock went off (crazy huh?) We had the talk we always do with them the night before they go to school about the do's and don'ts, mainly whatever the situation look for God to help you through before you react or say something that you shouldn't when things don't always go the way you want it too. I always pray that my kids would set examples for others in school. This Babylon world has gotten so crazy and out of hand we as christians need to be strong and indeed set examples for others to follow.

Its amazing what makes kids happy!!!

Starlight Spectacular

We thought we take the kids to Bellevue Baptist Church for the Starlight Spectacular, since some other of our friends from church were going we thought it would be cool to fellowship together, and the kids would have lots of fun also.

We got there and enjoyed 33 miles they were so awesome!!! The Issacs were there, and we listened to Bellevue's orchestra and Bro. Steve Gaines, he was a blessing in itself.

The kids really enjoyed the Issac's which played some bluegrass, which all the kids there went wild when they were playing, everyone was dancing. It was a hoot!

The night ended with about 30 minutes of fireworks that lite up the sky for miles....It was so awesome...Matthew enjoyed it, while Isabella got behind my chair and wouldn't come out until it was over.

We had a blast!

It has been a crazy day !!!!

It has been a very interesting day today. We got up thinking we would get the kids out of the house and take them to the lake so they could play. We get down there and they closed the beaches because the water was so high, so after we tried to explain that to a 3 & 4 yr. old, all we heard was yelling....and I don't know if you can relate to being cooped up with two small ones with a teenager in the back with a big mouth only two things can happen - go gray or go bald ( well the baldness is working on Matt ) haha!! Anyway we found a park to satisfy them for a little while but it was so hot we wanted to leave that is Matt & I. So once we got back in the van it was back to the yelling. So we made a trip to Sams and bought a pool to satisfy everyone at least for right now.

After along day we ate supper and as you can see ( no its not spaghetti )Matthew loves ketshup!!! Its amazing what kids do when you turn your back.

Needless to say I Love Them!!! They grow up so fast!!!

Maria Sue Chapman, adopted and youngest daughter to Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, was killed Wednesday night in a tragic accident in the family driveway on Wednesday evening. She was LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital but for only reasons God can explain she went home to Him... not to Franklin as we all so desperately wanted.

Your prayers are needed for all in the Chapman family. This is a family who has so generously loved and given to so many. Just hours before this close knit family was celebrating the engagement of the oldest daughter Emily Chapman, and were just hours away from a graduation party marking Caleb Chapman's completion of high school. Now, they are preparing to bury a child who blew out 5 candles on a birthday cake less than 10 days ago. These words are unthinkable to type. And yet we trust in a God who was not surprised by this and because of Jesus I am certain through faith in Him we will see Maria again. - Jim Houser (Manager)

Lil Praise Program

Last night was so hilarious watching the kids sing the songs they have been so hard praacticing for the last couple of months. ( I've have been listening to the songs for so long I hear them in my sleep ) I was expecting mine to just throw a fit, but I was shocked, well until the very end anyways. Isabella did really well, she knew her songs, but Matthew on the other hand didn't want to sing at all although he knew the words to them all. All he wanted to do is sit with his hands over his face and hands. The very last song he started acting up and crying ( poor baby ) , but he made it through it. I was very proud of all of our future christians!!

A Day At The Zoo 4/26/08

Today we thought it would be the perfect day to go to the zoo, so we got everyone together and headed out. Isabella and Matthew couldn't wait to get there, it was a continuous are we there yet? Are we there yet? Finally, after we got there they were ready to go. I really do believe they could have stayed there all day since they were crying on the way out. Tonight before going to bed Matthew was asking a thousand questions about where all the animals and people were. It was crazy!! You got to love all the questions.

Sick Sick Sick

It has been a horrible horrible two weeks. It started out last Monday, I started getting a migraine as usually and thought no big deal I can get rid of it and be ready to go to Nashville with Matt by the weekend ( We had a weekend to getaway by ourselves ). By Tuesday the headache had really gotten worse, so bad I didn't go to work and had to call my Neurologist to see if I get in of course I couldn't so I had to wait until Wednesday morning. Well I got there and the headache was worse than ever, so he admited me straight into the hospital, which was a horrible experience all together. They did a Catscan, MRI, and a Lunbar Punch, which before all that they stuck me four times before they got the IV in, so it wasn't a pretty sight for me. The only thing that got me through all that pain was thinking what Jesus went through on the cross and then I thought this wasn't a big deal, so that is what me get through it. Anyway I stayed there 3 days and I felt someone better so they discharged me Friday. Got home and the headache comeback and Sunday I was back at the hospital in ER. I got there at 6:30pm and got back to see a doctor around 11:00PM. After finally seeing a doctor they decided around 6:00am to admit me back in the hospital. I was in the hospital two days which were worse than the first time. Needless to say I have brusies everywhere to prove it. Thanks to God and lots of visitors and call and most of all prayers I am at home now recovering. Its a journery where I never want to go back down on.

Women's Conference April 11-12

I went to the Women's Conference April 11-12 and it was totally awesome. Cheri Holcomb was the speaker, and she was a very awesome motivational speaker. She shared on how we as women should be disciples of Jesus, and when we go to heaven who will be following behind us. For everyone that was there it should have lite a fire under everyone there. I can honestly say that I was really disappointed on how many women showed up from our church which was just a hand full. There is so many ladies and other genders all over that need to get real and find out how to get real with God.

Matt and I went Saturday to Longview Baptist Church to listen to Dr. Gary Chapman, which we talked to during our break and he is an unbelievable man. This was our very first marriage conference and we were blown away about what we learned. Who knew there were so much to know about each other? Needless to say we will be attending alot more conferences, because only good will come out of them. I'm always willing to learn more on how the Lord can help strengthen us as a family, husband and wife, but most importantly our relationship with Him. If there is anyone out there that never has attended one of these conferences you really don't know what your missing out on.
